The difference in one table
Both are field-service apps, not pressure-washing apps: the same software runs HVAC and cleaning crews. Both take a request from your website, turn it into a quote, put the job on a calendar, invoice from the phone on the driveway and take the card. The difference is which plan each feature sits on, how users are counted and how you are billed.

Read on each vendor’s own pricing and pressure-washing pages, 27 October 2026. “Not on the plan table” means the vendor’s plan comparison did not list it, not that it cannot be done. Prices are not printed here because both vendors change them and run offers; read them on Jobber’s pricing page and Housecall Pro’s pricing page.
Jobber
Jobber sells four plans: Core, Connect, Grow and Plus. The price moves with team size as well as plan. Pick “just me” on its pricing page and you see one-user versions of Core, Connect and Grow; pick a 2–5 person team and you see Connect, Grow and Plus with five users included; a larger team tier goes to 15. Seats beyond that are added one at a time.
Core covers the front of the job: requests and online booking, a client hub where the customer approves the quote and pays, quoting, invoicing and card payments, and the mobile app. Connect is where it starts to run itself: automated client notifications, quote and invoice follow-ups, route optimization, crew GPS, checklists, time tracking and the QuickBooks Online or Xero sync. Grow adds what a wash business uses to raise the ticket: optional add-ons and markups on quotes, two-way texting, job costing and a custom automation builder. Plus adds crew scheduling, a media library and API access.
Jobber’s own pressure-washing page leans on the quote. Requests come in from your website, your Google Business Profile or social pages, with the customer’s photos of the driveway or the siding attached. The quote goes back with photos of their own property and optional services they can tick, they approve it online, and you can take a deposit before you load the trailer.
Where it falls short for a one-rig operator: the automated reminders and the accounting sync start on Connect, and job costing on Grow, so the entry plan is a booking-quote-invoice tool and not much more. Its Spanish app is for team members; admins and the account owner use the English one.
Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro sells three plans: Basic with one user, Essentials with five and MAX with eight, where extra users are charged per seat. There is no long-term contract; you choose monthly or annual billing.
Basic is the fuller entry plan of the two. It includes online booking from Google or your website, scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoices with automated payment reminders, card payments and consumer financing, a price book, job costing and review requests. Essentials adds route grouping, flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports with mark-up, employee GPS, commissions and the QuickBooks Online sync. MAX adds a sales proposal tool, recurring service plans, route optimization on live traffic, the open API and Zapier, and a dedicated onboarding rep.
Its pressure-washing page shows the same price-book habit: house washes, driveways, roofs and add-ons priced from the book, multi-option estimates for pressure washing, soft washing and sealing, deposits, and a digital signature on the estimate from the phone. Customers get a portal to approve, pay and book again.
Where it falls short: the pricing page names QuickBooks Online as the accounting sync and does not mention Xero, so a Xero shop should ask before the trial ends; Zapier waits until MAX. The recurring service plans that suit an annual house-wash or roof-maintenance programme are a MAX feature too. For the books side of a new outfit, the pressure washing business plan sets out what the monthly software line has to earn back.
Quoting a wash: add-ons, photos and price books
On a wash job the money is in the second and third line: the gutters, the walk, the seal coat on the pavers. Both apps let you build that into the quote, in different ways. Jobber’s Grow plan puts optional add-ons on the quote itself, so the customer ticks the extras they want when they approve. Housecall Pro builds multi-option estimates from its price book, so you send a good, better and best and the customer picks one.
The price book matters more than it sounds. If your house-wash rate is set once, by the square foot, every quote from every crew member comes out the same. Housecall Pro puts the price book on Basic; Jobber’s plan table did not list one, so on Jobber you save your services as line items and keep the rates current yourself.
Neither app measures the job for you
Rain days, routes and crews
Weather moves more wash jobs than customers do. Jobber lets you drag a visit to another day or bulk-reschedule a whole day at once, and the customer gets the new time automatically. Housecall Pro’s schedule is built to move rain-delayed jobs and to plan recurring washes, with on-my-way texts and booking reminders.
Routes are where the plans split. On Jobber, routing and crew GPS start on Connect. On Housecall Pro, Essentials groups and sequences the day’s jobs and shows crew locations on a map, and MAX re-orders them in one click on live traffic. With one rig you plan the day yourself; with two or three rigs on the road, route tools save real unbilled driving, which is why the route density point comes up in every start-up plan.
Contracts, trials and switching
Read the billing terms before the trial ends. Jobber offers three: monthly with no commitment, monthly on a 12-month minimum term, and annual prepaid, where the first payment is not refundable if you cancel mid-year. All of them renew unless you set them not to. Housecall Pro says it requires no long-term contract and bills monthly or annually; an upgrade is immediate and a downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing period.
Both give 14 days free with no card. Jobber’s trial runs on Grow, Housecall Pro’s on MAX, so each trial shows you features from a higher plan than you may buy. Note which ones you used before you pick a plan, and run both trials on the same week of real jobs if you can.
How to choose between them
For one person who books, quotes, washes and invoices, Housecall Pro’s Basic plan carries more of the job. Once you run two or three rigs, keep the books in Xero or want to sell add-ons on every quote, Jobber from Connect up fits better. Either way, decide on paper first, then let the trial prove it.
Before you start either trial
- Count your users. Everyone who opens the schedule needs a seat. Jobber prices 1-, 5- and 15-user tiers; Housecall Pro includes 1, 5 or 8.
- Name your accounting software. Xero points to Jobber; QuickBooks Online works with both, on Jobber Connect or Housecall Pro Essentials.
- Write your price list down. If you price by the square foot from a fixed list, you want a price book or saved line items on day one.
- Decide how you sell the extras. Tick-box add-ons on one quote is Jobber Grow; good, better, best options is Housecall Pro’s multi-option estimate.
- Pick the billing term you can live with. Both vendors discount annual billing; monthly leaves you free to leave, and annual prepaid on Jobber is not refundable mid-year.
- Check the plan the trial runs on. Jobber trials Grow, Housecall Pro trials MAX. A feature you loved may not be on the plan you buy.
Whichever you pick, the paperwork behind it stays yours. Our estimate template lists the exclusions every quote should carry, in either app or on paper.
Common questions
Is Jobber or Housecall Pro cheaper for a pressure washing business?
It depends on users and the billing term more than the plan name. Jobber prices by team size and offers monthly, 12-month and annual prepaid terms; Housecall Pro includes a set number of users per plan and bills monthly or annually. Both run offers, so compare the plan you would actually buy on each vendor's pricing page on the same day.
Do Jobber and Housecall Pro work with QuickBooks?
Yes. Jobber syncs with QuickBooks Online and Xero from its Connect plan up. Housecall Pro syncs with QuickBooks Online from Essentials up; its pricing page does not mention Xero.
Is there a contract?
Housecall Pro says it requires no long-term contract. Jobber lets you choose: monthly with no commitment, monthly on a 12-month term, or annual prepaid, which is not refunded if you cancel during the year.
Can customers book a wash online?
Yes, on every plan of both. Jobber takes requests from your website, Google Business Profile and social pages; Housecall Pro takes bookings from Google or your website.
Can my crew use the app in Spanish?
Housecall Pro's app has a Spanish option and Spanish-speaking support. Jobber's app is in Spanish for team members, but admins and the account owner use it in English.
